Near & Far

Our pastors and witness commission challenged our congregation to raise $8,000 this summer to be split between The Emmanuel Training Center and Roanoke Area Ministries. The campaign just came to a close and we raised $12,245!!! Thank you to EVERYONE who gave!

Our Mission

Project 127 is
Summerdean Church's Orphan ministry. It is
named after the verse James 1:27, which says,

"Religion
that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after
orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by
the world."

The vision of Project 127 is to see the church recognize and respond to
the needs of orphans both here in the United States and internationally.

We believe that the church IS God’s plan for the orphan.

We want to educate and encourage people, regarding adoption, foster care,
global orphan care, and human trafficking.
And we would like to be a source of emotional, spiritual, and financial
support to those who are adopting or fostering children.
